The city of Manchester is well known for it’s scientific and engineering achievements as well as its music, media, culture and sporting connections. Manchester has the largest office market in the UK outside of London and has the fifth largest financial centre with many people employed in banking, finance and insurance. Life science, manufacturing and communications are also in demand within the city. Starting a business in Manchester is also strongly encouraged as the city has been ranked 2nd place in the UK to do business. Retail is also hugely popular to Manchester residents with high end boutiques demanding space, because of this the retail area has become the fourth largest in the UK by sales.
